artist statement
As a child I sometimes stayed over at my grandmothers house. There was a large drawing on the bedroom wall which consisted of numerous tiny pictures in one.
Whenever I had almost convinced myself that I could not find anything in the image which I had not already seen before the opposite happened. My eyes would stop to look where they had always glanced before. Seeing something new always thrilled me.
I have always been intrigued by the extensive world of the imaginative where everything I see is what I choose to see. Throughout the years this inner most private world has provided me with a safe place in which I could create worlds and scenarios in many variances and always experience something new.
It is through my art that I now try to make this world come alive.
